Prolific shoplifter makes big MISTEAK!!!

On 23/08/2025 Officers from A relief Manchester City Centre Neighbourhood Team were patrolling Oldham Street in the Northern Quarter when a prolific shoplifter was observed trying to act casual slightly further down the road. He was recognised by officers and it transpired he was in breach of a Criminal Behaviour Order by being in the city centre. On top of this he was wanted over an incident several months ago regarding the theft of twelve steaks from Marks and Spencer where he had also taken the liberty of shoving the security guard out of the way as he continued selecting his wares from the shelves, he then fled with the store with the stolen meat, ultimately the goods weren't recovered.

The offender was charged with breaching his CBO, assault and theft and has been remanded to court for his activities along with being recalled to prison.
